Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar said that a new bus stand will be constructed in Meham once the district administration identifies and provides suitable land for the project. In view of this, the General Manager, Haryana State Transport, Rohtak has been directed to consult with the district administration and suggest suitable land for the project.
The Development and Panchayat Minister was responding to a question raised during the ongoing budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today. Sh. Panwar said that the existing bus stand building had been declared unsafe after an inspection conducted by the Haryana Police Housing Corporation. Following this, the government granted administrative approval on October 11, 2023 for the demolition of the Meham bus stand.
The structure has since been demolished and the process to construct a new bus stand has been initiated. He added that once the district administration identifies or makes available appropriate land, construction of the new bus stand at Meham will be undertaken.
