Haryana Minister of State for Sports,Sh. Gaurav Gautam said that a multi-purpose hall and a 200-metre synthetic athletic track will be constructed at Subhash Stadium in Sonipat. The Minister was responding to a question raised during the ongoing budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today.
The Minister informed that the Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Department has submitted a preliminary cost estimate of Rs.21,384.84 lakh for the project and the proposal is currently under process. He further said that an amount of approx. Rs.66 lakh has already been released to the Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Department for the repair of the stadium ground.
The Minister said that the tendering process for the work is currently in progress by the Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Department.
