Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Sh. Vipul Goel informed the House that compensation for crop losses from the year 2022 to 2026 has been distributed by the government. During the ongoing budget session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Sh. Vipul Goel was responding to a question raised by a member.
He stated that due to natural disasters causing crop damage in the state, an amount of approximately ₹494.05 crore was approved as compensation during 2022–23, which was sanctioned to the Deputy Commissioners for distribution through the manual mode. In 2023–24, ₹720.29 crore was approved for crop loss in the state.
From Rabi 2023 onwards, the compensation amount has been distributed directly to beneficiaries through DBT via the Kshatipurti Portal. In 2024–25, ₹265.57 crore was approved for crop damage, while in 2025–26, ₹168.74 crore was approved for crop loss.
He further informed that in some cases, compensation could not be disbursed to certain farmers due to errors, non-submission of bank account details, or other reasons. However, the department has instructed Patwaris to ensure that such errors are rectified promptly so that the allocated amount can be disbursed.
