Pehowa Bus Stand renovated at cost of ₹1.64 crore, passenger facilities upgraded: Haryana Government

Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar, replying on behalf of Transport Minister, Sh. Anil Vij during the Budget Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today, informed the House that Pehowa is a sub-depot of Haryana Roadways, Kurukshetra.

He said that the Pehowa Bus Stand was established in 1983 on 2 acres, 7 kanals and 2 marlas of land. A six-bay bus stand was constructed there. The bus stand is located approximately 30 kilometres from the main bus stand of Kurukshetra and is providing transport facilities to passengers in the region.

The Minister further informed that some time ago, repair and renovation work of the bus stand was carried out by the Haryana Police Housing Corporation at a cost of Rs.1,64,32,000. With this renovation, improved facilities are now being provided to passengers and the infrastructure of the bus stand has been strengthened.

He said that the State Government is continuously working to strengthen the transport infrastructure across Haryana to ensure safe and convenient travel facilities for the general public.
