Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, on Wednesday chaired a meeting to review the progress of re-creation of dilapidated Massavies and digitization of Jamabandis, here. While reviewing district-wise data, the Div Com directed Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to expedite the process of re-creating Massavies through third-party verification. 

He also instructed them to conduct fresh surveys in cases where reproduction of missing Massavies is not possible. Appreciating the progress made in the digitization of Jamabandis, the Div Com urged DCs to fast-track the digitization process in the remaining villages.

Regarding the rehabilitation of terror victims, he enjoined DCs to ensure that all eligible victims are brought under the ambit of housing construction schemes. The Divisional Commissioner also reviewed the status of amenities at Migrant Transition Accommodations and stressed the need for augmentation of facilities and timely completion of all the flats.

He directed officers to address grievances in a time-bound manner, with special emphasis on the disposal of long-pending cases. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioner Central, Deputy Director Planning, and officers from Disaster Management, Relief,  Rehabilitation & Reconstruction departments
