Nayab Singh Saini announces major development projects at Viksit Sohna-Tauru Rally in Nuh

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini made a series of significant development announcements while addressing the Viksit Sohna-Tauru Rally in Nuh district on Sunday. Reaffirming the government’s commitment to infrastructure-led growth, he announced that a sub-depot of Haryana Roadways will be established in Sohna to improve public transport connectivity in the region.

The Chief Minister also announced that bypasses will be constructed for both Tauru  town and Sohna to ease traffic congestion and improve mobility. He informed that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Sohna–Tauru–Palwal road has already been submitted to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, and work on the project is expected to begin soon. 

Additionally, an amount of Rs 5 crore has been allocated for development works in the Sohna Assembly constituency. Further strengthening infrastructure plans, the Chief Minister said that a proposal to extend the Gurugram–Sohna Elevated Expressway from Damdama Mod to Nirankari College has been sent to the concerned department. Construction will commence once approval is granted.

The Chief Minister  further announced that a PWD Rest House will be constructed in Sohna, subject to land availability. He also announced the establishment of a Primary Health Centre in Baghanki village and Sub-Health Centres in Ghamroj and Khori Kalan villages. In addition, community centres will be built in Hasanpur (Tauru) and in Sehjawas and Rithoj (Sohna), each at a cost of Rs 65 lakh.

To promote sports infrastructure,  the Chief Minister announced that an indoor wrestling arena will be developed at the sports stadium in Kota Khedla, Tauru.  He further announced that a new bus stand will be constructed in Tauru and a new grain market in Sohna, both subject to the availability of land.

The Chief Minister said that 31 roads spanning 41.94 kilometres in the Sohna Assembly constituency, along with 407 kilometres of roads under the Defect Liability Period (DLP) of the PWD, will be repaired as required through the concerned agencies. Moreover, seven new roads covering 32.82 kilometres will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 35.30 crore. Special repair works for 100 kilometres of roads will also be undertaken at a cost of Rs 45.98 crore.

Under the NABARD–PMGSY scheme, three roads measuring 15.90 kilometres will undergo special repairs at a cost of Rs 12.10 crore. The Chief Minister also announced that 25 kilometres of rural agricultural paths in Sohna will be paved under the Khet-Khalihan Yojana, further strengthening rural connectivity and supporting farmers.
