Haryana Social Justice, Empowerment, SCs and BCs Welfare and Antyodaya Minister (SEWA), Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi, said that work has begun on development projects worth crores of rupees announced by Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini for the region. He said that once these projects are completed, Narwana will emerge as a developed area.
Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi was speaking on Sunday at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the additional building of the local PWD Rest House. He laid the foundation stone of a new three-storey building to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 9 crore 54 lakh 80 thousand.
He said the building will be equipped with modern facilities. Two floors will have rooms and offices for the stay of VIPs. The construction is targeted to be completed by June 2027.
The Minister also said that, fulfilling a long-pending demand of residents, the construction of new buildings for the bus stand and the civil hospital will begin soon. He said his dream is to see Narwana among the leading educated, safe and developed regions, and he is continuously working to achieve this goal.
He further said that work on laying pipelines to prevent waterlogging during the rainy season and to provide a better sewerage system in the city is almost complete. Along with the city, basic facilities such as education, healthcare, drinking water, electricity, roads and canal water are being widely expanded in rural areas as well.
The state government is continuously working towards the vision of overall development. He also visited Baba Gabi Sahib Temple and announced a financial assistance of Rs. 11 lakh for necessary facilities at the temple.
