Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Sukhveer Singh, on Sunday held an important meeting in Dhuri with Chairman Pushpinder Sharma and members of the Punjab State Traders Commission, Dhuri. The meeting aimed to discuss the concerns, suggestions and requirements of the trading community and to reaffirm the government’s commitment to providing all necessary support.

Addressing the meeting, OSD Sukhveer Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is firmly committed to ensuring a transparent, simplified and secure business environment for traders and industrialists. 

 stated that all genuine issues of traders would be addressed on a priority basis to further accelerate commercial activities across the state. During the interaction, Chairman Pushpinder Sharma and members of the Commission highlighted key issues faced by traders, including infrastructure development, availability of basic amenities, security arrangements and simplification of administrative procedures. 

OSD Sukhveer Singh assured that the suggestions put forth would be forwarded to the concerned departments for timely action. Emphasising the role of traders in the state’s economy, Sardar Sukhveer Singh said that the trading community is a crucial pillar of Punjab’s economic growth and that the government is taking every possible step to safeguard their interests. 

He added that such regular interactions would help strengthen direct communication between the government and traders. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Pushpinder Sharma informed that the Punjab State Traders Commission would organise block-level meetings with traders to identify and resolve their issues on a priority basis.

Commission members Jagtar Singh, Basant Lal, Aman Khan, Sandeep Singh, Balal Khan, Kuldeep Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Avtar Singh, Deepak Verma and Jasvir Singh appreciated the trader-friendly policies of the Punjab Government and assured full cooperation in future initiatives.

Also present on the occasion were Chairman of Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation Dalvir Singh Dhillon, Punjab Waqf Board member Dr Anwar Bhasaur, Anil Mittal, Ramandeep Singh, Naresh Singla, Jaspal Bhullar and Rachhpal Singh.
