On the occasion of the 77th Republic Day, Hon’ble Rajya Sabha MP Shri Kartikeya Sharma interacted with villagers as well as the media during chaupal programmes organised in villages of the Barara region under the VB-G RAM-G (Rural) scheme.

During his interaction with the media, the MP extended Republic Day greetings to all citizens and paid homage to the freedom fighters and the framers of the Constitution, stating that it is because of their sacrifice and struggle that the country stands today as a strong and vibrant democracy.

Addressing the chaupals, the MP said that the Modi Government, with a focus on strengthening rural employment, has increased the number of workdays under the VB-G RAM-G scheme from 100 days to 125 days, so that rural families receive greater employment opportunities and economic security. 

He clarified that the primary objective of visiting villages was to remove misinformation and confusion surrounding the scheme.Shri Kartikeya Sharma said,“The message of Republic Day is clear—power belongs to the people. Public service can only be done by being among the people. 

With this spirit, I have come to the villages myself so that no one remains misinformed. The Modi Government is committed to ensuring that development reaches the last person.”He also praised the Haryana Government, stating that the state is effectively implementing central schemes on the ground and is continuously working towards rural development, employment generation, and public welfare.

The second chaupal programme was held near the residence of Devender Chauhan Barara (Pintu Rana), where farmers and workers raised issues related to employment, wages, and local concerns. The MP said that the responsibility of public representatives is not limited to review meetings but extends to understanding realities by engaging directly with people.

Subsequently, the third chaupal programme was organised under the leadership of Municipal Committee Chairman Rajat Malik. Addressing the gathering, the MP stressed the need for continuous review of schemes, seeking public feedback, and moving forward with that feedback to achieve the goal of a Developed India.

While speaking to the media, the MP said that a developed India cannot be built through slogans alone, but by empowering villages, the poor, farmers, and workers.A large number of villagers participated in the chaupal programmes, and the initiative of the MP to personally reach villages and engage in dialogue was widely appreciated at the local level.
