It is a common belief in society that a person can attain salvation or liberation only after death. However, this belief is not correct. From the lives of past Gurus, saints, prophets and the religious scriptures written by them, it is clearly evident that a person can attain liberation (moksha) while living. This is possible by taking refuge in the present-day Satguru and gaining true knowledge of God.

These views were expressed by Shri Inderjit Sharma, Central Pracharak of Sant Nirankari Mandal from Delhi, while addressing thousands of devotees at a large Sant Nirankari Satsang held at Vegetable Mandi Ground, Sector 45, Chandigarh. Explaining the meaning of liberation while living Shri Sharma said that it does not mean renouncing the world. Rather, it means living in the world while remaining detached from it—rising above happiness and sorrow, profit and loss, respect and insult—just like a lotus flower that remains untouched by the water around it.

He cited examples of King Janak, who was a ruler, and Bhagat Kabir, who came from a simple family. Despite their different backgrounds, both remained free from attachment and were unaffected by praise or criticism. He emphasized that such a state is possible only through Brahm Gyan (true spiritual knowledge).

Earlier, speakers of all age groups expressed their thoughts through songs, poems, and speeches in various languages. They shared that the same God whom people search for by going to different places is being introduced very easily by the present Satguru, Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj.

Through this knowledge, life has become spiritually joyful and fulfilling. They also encouraged all seekers to attain this knowledge and make their lives peaceful and happy. On this occasion, it was also clarified that Sant Nirankari Mission is not a traditional religion or sect, but a spiritual movement and a way of living a disciplined and balanced life.

People from various sections of society were present at the event. The arrangements made by the Sewadal members were highly commendable. Zonal Incharge Shri O.P. Nirankari and Mukhi Shri N.K. Gupta thanked all the devotees present and Shri Inderjit Sharma Ji for gracing the occasion.
