Government College of Education, Sector 20-D, Chandigarh, delivered an outstanding performance at the 77th Panjab University Annual Athletic Meet 2025–26, held at the Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh, from 22nd to 24th December 2025. A total of 20 athletes (11 men and 9 women) from the college participated enthusiastically in various track and field events and brought laurels to the institution through their remarkable achievements. 

The college secured an impressive 19 medals, comprising 6 Gold, 5 Silver, and 8 Bronze medals. It was a moment of great pride for the institution as Ms. Vandana Ekka was adjudged Best Athlete in the Women’s Section (C Division). Adding further glory, Government College of Education, Sector 20-D, Chandigarh, won the Overall Championship Trophy in the Women’s Category (C Division).

In addition to its achievements in sports, the college has also demonstrated commendable and sustained excellence in co-curricular activities, securing the Runner-Up position in the Panjab University Zonal and Inter-Zonal Youth Festival, and further bagging the Second Position in the Panjab University Zonal and Inter-Zonal Skill-in-Teaching and Teaching Aid Preparation Competitions held recently in 2025, thereby reflecting the institution’s vibrant, holistic, professionally enriching, and pedagogically robust academic environment.
