At the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2025 held in Goa, Haryana made a remarkable impression with its cultural magnificence. Showcasing traditional colours, folk dances, music, heritage, and modern cinematic achievements, Haryana’s tableau not only won the hearts of the audience but also impressed the jury. As a result, the State’s vibrant and visually appealing tableau was honoured with an award at the festival.

The prestigious nine-day festival was organised from November 20 to 28, 2025, in Goa. On the opening day, 28 participants presented their tableau on different themes. Haryana presented the first grand State tableau in the opening parade of the International Film Festival of India.

Under the guidance of the Director General, Information, Public Relations, Languages and Art & Culture department, Haryana, Sh. K.M Pandurang, Additional Director, Sh. Vivek Kalia and Joint Director Films, Sh. Neeraj Tuteja represented Haryana at the international festival.

Prepared on the theme “Non-Stop Filmy Haryana”, the tableau offered a unique moving celebration of Indian culture and cinema. Haryana’s presentation attracted special attention from international delegates, filmmakers and audiences.

After the presentation of the tableaux, the jury honoured the Top-5 achievers with awards on November 28, 2025. The awardees included Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Hombale Movie Makers, WAVES OTT and Zee Studios.

Special efforts underway to establish Haryana as a special attractive destination for cinema – K. M Pandurang

Director General, Sh. K.M Pandurang congratulated officers and employees on this achievement. He said that a film city is being developed in Haryana to encourage producers and directors to showcase the State’s culture through cinema. This initiative aims to strengthen Haryana’s identity on the global stage.

Film-Camera-Themed Tableau emerges as a symbol of Haryana’s Creative Power

Designed in the form of a magnificent film camera, the tableau symbolised Haryana’s creative energy—presenting the state’s culture, people and voice to the world in an innovative manner. The golden rays emerging from the camera represented the state’s creative spirit, vitality and bright future.

The digital screens vividly displayed Haryana’s heritage, tourism, folk culture, theatre, and filming locations on a single platform. The tableau artistically showcased the State’s cultural legacy, cinematic contributions and locations. Tourists and visitors from India and abroad were visibly drawn to Haryana’s display.

The tableau also communicated the core message of Haryana’s Film Policy. It depicted how stories emerging from village chaupals are now reaching global screens. Below, the swaying golden mustard fields symbolised Haryana’s rich traditions and the eternal journey of stories born from this fertile land.

With this achievement, Haryana is now poised to establish a distinct identity in cinema and filmmaking at both the national and international levels.
