Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij emphasized that officers must ensure that public grievances are resolved on priority so that citizens do not have to struggle or approach offices for redressal. Energy Minister Anil Vij was redressaing public greivances during the District Public Relations & Grievance Redressal Committee meeting held in Sirsa today.
A total of 17 complaints were heard, out of which 11 were kept pending with directions to the concerned authorities to submit detailed reports in the next meeting. During the hearing on the complaint regarding illegal cutting of trees in village Kaluwana, Minister Vij directed the formation of a committee to investigate the matter and submit a report.
Residents of Kaluwana had alleged that green trees were cut on forest land. He instructed a three-member committee to look into the issue and present the findings in the next meeting. In another complaint related to removal of soil from fields during the flood-like situation in Ghaggar area in July 2023, the Minister instructed officials to carry out valuation and provide appropriate compensation to the complainant.
Similarly, responding to the complaint filed by Kulwant Kaur, Minister Vij directed the police department to provide protection to the family. On a complaint of misusing government land and causing financial loss to the state, Vij directed forensic examination of thumb impressions by a laboratory in Delhi and also directed that the sale deed of the concerned land be stopped until the investigation is completed.
While hearing the complaint of Sohan Lal from village Bani regarding assault, abuse and blocking of his passage, Minister Vij instructed the SHO to visit the site and remove any obstruction from the street ensuring free access. He directed that no one be allowed to block the public pathway. In the meeting, the Cabinet Minister listened carefully to every complaint and directed concerned officers and officials to ensure timely and effective resolution.
Present on the occasion were District President Yatindra Singh Advocate, District President Dabwali Renu Sharma, Chairman Dev Kumar Sharma, former District President Amirchand Mehta, Pradeep Ratusaria, Councillor Suman Sharma; and from district administration—Deputy Commissioner Shantanu Sharma, Sirsa SP Deepak Saharan, Dabwali SP Nikita Khattar, Additional DC Virendra Sahrawat, SDM Arpit Sangal, SDM Paras Bhagoria, SDM Mohit Kumar along with other concerned officers and officials.
