Haryana Agriculture, Farmers’ Welfare, Minister, Sh. Shyam Singh Rana, said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi will participate in the International Gita Mahotsav being held in Kurukshetra, as well as the grand event being organised to mark the 350th martyrdom year of “Hind Ki Chadar,” Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the symbol of sacrifice, peace, and humanity.

Sh. Shyam Singh Rana was flagging off buses from Yamunanagar district for the International Gita Mahotsav in Kurukshetra. The Agriculture Minister said that with the support of the Central Government and the Haryana Government, Gita Mahotsavs are being organised in many countries across the world. 

Every year, lakhs of devotees from all corners of the country participate in the International Gita Mahotsav in Kurukshetra and experience the spiritual grandeur of the event. Haryana’s folk art and culture are recognised not only across India but around the world.

The Cabinet Minister said that thousands of people from Yamunanagar district have reached the Gita Mahotsav and the Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji martyrdom programme through the buses arranged for them. Upon reaching the holy land of Kurukshetra, there is great enthusiasm among people to hear the address of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi.

People are boarding the buses arriving in their villages in large numbers so that they can reach the sacred city of Kurukshetra with ease. They expressed gratitude to the Haryana Government for giving them the opportunity to attend the event and learn about Haryana’s culture and its great personalities.

The Minister said that to spread awareness about the sacrifice, devotion, and glorious history of the Sikh Gurus, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini and the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee are commemorating the 350th martyrdom year of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji with grand events across the state.
