Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Nayab Singh Saini has ordered departmental action against 19 Executive Engineers of various departments for closing some complaints on the ‘Mhari Sadak App’ without ensuring their complete resolution and for mishandling public grievances. These include two officers from the PWD, six from the HSAMB, two from the HSIIDC, one from the Zila Parishad, five from ULBs, and three from the HSVP.
The Chief Minister also directed that strict action be taken against contractors who fail to address complaints within the stipulated time frame. The Chief Minister issued these directions while chairing a review meeting on complaints received through the ‘Mhari Sadak App’ held here today.
He emphasized that all tasks assigned to officials, as well as complaints received from the public, must be resolved in a manner that is clearly visible on the ground. The Chief Minister further stated that officials should close road-related complaints submitted through the app only after ensuring their complete resolution.
He said that any officer found closing complaints without proper redressal would face stringent action. He also instructed that white stripes and signboards be properly installed on all state roads to ensure public safety and better road management.
Mr. Nayab Singh Saini, while instructing officials, said that all complaints received through the ‘Mhari Sadak App’ must be resolved within the stipulated timeframe to ensure that the public does not face any inconvenience. He directed that if any official fails to address a complaint promptly or provides incorrect information, the respective department must take strict action.
He further emphasized the need to raise public awareness about the ‘Mhari Sadak App’. He directed officials to educate people through various means about the app and encourage them to download it so that they can easily report road-related issues. Additionally, potholes on the roads must be properly filled. Negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.
The Chief Minister also directed officials to expedite the road mapping work across the state. He instructed that complaints received through the ‘Mhari Sadak App’ be categorized as minor and major, ensuring their resolution within the prescribed timeframe. He further directed that citizens who upload photos of potholes on the app should be contacted for verification and feedback.
He emphasized the need to train field officers on the use of the app so that they can operate it efficiently and accurately. The Chief Minister also instructed that departments whose roads have not yet been mapped should complete the mapping process at the earliest, as this will facilitate future maintenance and development work. Apart from this, a separate cell should be created on the app and complaints regarding NH roads should be uploaded on it.
