District Administration observes National Unity Day with enthusiasm across Ramban

District Administration Ramban, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, today observed National Unity Day across the district with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor, commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.

In the morning, the Deputy Commissioner, in the presence of SSP Arun Gupta, SSP Traffic NHW Raja Adil Hamed and ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak, flagged off the Run for Unity march from the premises of the District Administrative Complex. 

The event witnessed participation from senior officers, prominent citizens, students and the general public. The march passed through Maitra Market and culminated at DPL Ramban. Meanwhile, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge was also administered to the participants.

Similar pledge ceremonies were organized at the DC office Ramban and all Blocks, Tehsils and Sub-Division, where officers, officials, students and locals reaffirmed their commitment to uphold the nation’s unity, integrity and security.

 Awareness activities and pledge-taking events were also held in Government offices, schools, colleges and other institutions across the district. Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the immense contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in uniting India’s princely states and laying the foundation of a strong and integrated nation. 

He emphasized the importance of unity, harmony and collective responsibility in building a stronger India. He urged citizens, especially the youth, to emulate Patel’s vision by promoting brotherhood, national integration and social cohesion.

As part of the observance, Run for Unity events, debates, essay competitions, and cleanliness drives were organized across the district to spread the message of national solidarity and oneness. At Gool, a Mini Marathon was organized from Main Market Gool to Tungali Point, witnessing enthusiastic participation from the local community. 

The event was attended by SDM Gool Imtiaz Ahmed along with other officers, dignitaries, sportspersons, shopkeepers and students. The day-long celebrations echoed with patriotic slogans and reaffirmed the collective resolve of the people of Ramban to uphold the unity and integrity of the nation.
