Haryana Minister of State for Sports, Gaurav Gautam, emphasized the need to promote and preserve Sanatan culture by practicing its age-old traditions in the present times. He said that the young generation should adopt Sanatan culture in place of Western culture, pledge to stay away from drugs, and contribute to the progress of the nation and the state while praying for world peace.

Sh. Gaurav Gautam was addressing the Sanatan Sanskriti Award Distribution Ceremony held in Palwal on Sunday as the chief guest. He said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has presented a vision of a developed and self-reliant India before us, in which citizens’ duties will play the most crucial role.

To safeguard the nation and Sanatan culture, we must focus less on our rights and more on our civic duties. He stated that if Sanatan culture continues to flourish on the path of safety and prosperity, it will pave the way for the welfare of humanity across the world.

He further said that to increase awareness about Sanatan culture among the youth, it is important to explain its scientific and logical foundations, such as respect for nature, way of life, and core values. He emphasized the need to educate the youth about Hinduism so that they understand its greatness and do not get misled by anyone.

Youth should be made familiar with the teachings of the Gita, Ramayana, Vedas, and Puranas.Addressing the youth, he urged them to make sports an integral part of their lives and follow the path of discipline, hard work, and dedication. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, Haryana has emerged as a sports powerhouse.

To ensure secure employment for outstanding sportspersons, the state government has framed the Haryana Outstanding Sportsperson Service Rules 2021. These rules provide reservation for sportspersons in direct recruitment for Class-I to Class-IV government posts.

He also motivated the youth to stay away from drugs, describing it as a social evil that not only destroys individuals but also weakens families and society as a whole.
