Teams from Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Landran registered notable victories at the two-day IKGPTU Inter-College Volleyball Tournament held on campus from September 30 to October 1, 2025. CGC Landran’s Women’s Volleyball team secured the overall first position, while the Men’s teams bagged the first and third positions.
The tournament featured 25-plus teams from various institutions. The event was inaugurated by DIG S. Sukhpal Singh Brar (IPS), Arjuna Awardee, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Awardee, and former Captain of the Indian Volleyball Team. Matches were marked by close contests, strong performances and active participation from all teams. Congratulating the Volleyball champions for this feat, Dr. Rajdeep Singh, Campus Director, CGC Landran, said, “These results reflect the commitment, practice and discipline of our players. At CGC, we value both academics and sports as integral to student development and this performance highlights the strength of our student athletes.
”The two-day sports event tournament concluded with felicitation of the winners with trophies and medals.
