In a significant step towards strengthening government schools and bringing them at par with private institutions, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Sagar Setia today inaugurated ultra-modern smart classrooms in two pre-primary schools of the district under a pilot project. The initiative was launched at Government Primary School Bhim Nagar and Government Primary School Talwandi Bhangerian.
Each of these schools has been provided with two newly developed pre-primary classrooms, fully equipped with child-friendly furniture, water purifiers, high-quality mats, modern toys, racks, and improved infrastructure. The classrooms aim to provide young learners with a nurturing and modern environment conducive to growth and learning.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Sagar Setia said, “This initiative reflects the vision of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann to transform government schools into centres of excellence and ensure quality education for every child. The district administration is committed to replicating this model in all pre-primary schools of Moga.”
He emphasized that the Punjab Government has introduced remarkable reforms in the field of education, all of which are commendable. “Education frees individuals from ignorance and selfishness and nurtures them into compassionate, socially responsible citizens.
Our aim is to ensure that every child receives modern facilities within government schools so they can grow into wise, ethical, and sensitive citizens,” he added.The Deputy Commissioner also appealed to residents, particularly Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), to come forward and adopt government schools to further support this transformation.
The introduction of these modern facilities was warmly welcomed by parents, teachers, and students, who expressed their appreciation and optimism that such positive changes by the district administration will continue in the future.
