Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Rajesh Nagar planted saplings at the THSTI Medical Research Centre located on the Faridabad-Gurugram Road, giving a message of awareness towards environmental protection.Notably, this plantation drive was carried out under the nationwide campaign being held from September 17 to October 2.
After planting saplings at the Medical Research Centre, the Minister said that each one of us should fulfill our responsibility towards the environment by planting and nurturing trees, as it is essential for the safety of human life. The protection of the environment directly ensures the safety and security of mankind, he added.
The Minister said that we should not only plant trees but should also nurture them, the government is making every possible effort in this noble cause, and various social organisations are also extending full cooperation. Both private and government institutions are actively contributing to this mission.Sh. Nagar further said that service can take many forms – one can serve humanity by helping others, by protecting the environment, or by organising donation drives.
Such initiatives are being carried out across the country, and in Haryana, these programmes commenced on September 17, on the birthday of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi. The campaign will continue until the birthday of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and Mahatma Gandhi.Senior officers and other dignitaries also remained present.
