Continuous efforts are being made to realise Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s dream of ‘Viksit Bharat’ in 2047. Today, Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Dr. Virendra Kumar held discussions with States and Union Territories regarding the vision of Viksit Bharat-2047. 

Haryana’s Minister of Social Justice, Empowerment and Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes and Antyodaya Department, Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi, participated in the meeting through video conferencing from the Secretariat. Senior administrative officers of the department were also present in the meeting.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the goals, strategies, and action plan of Viksit Bharat 2047. It was emphasized that the active participation of all states is necessary to make the country self-reliant, inclusive, and globally leading in the coming years. 

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment clarified that special focus must be given on departmental reforms, transparency, ease, and digitalization so that the direct benefits of schemes can reach the person standing at the last rung of society.

Minister Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi said that Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s resolution of Viksit Bharat 2047 is not only a vision but also the foundation of a strong and self-reliant India for future generations. He said that the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment is directly related to deprived sections of society, persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and weaker sections. 

Therefore, under this vision, the priority of the state government will be to implement schemes more effectively for the upliftment of these sections.He also said that the Haryana Government is fully committed to taking the policies of the Central Government to the grassroots level. 

Along with making departmental services simple and transparent, efforts are being made to provide them on digital platforms. Several new schemes are being prepared for the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities and senior citizens, the safety of women, making youth employment-oriented, and improving the living standards of poor sections.

At the end of the meeting, Sh. Bedi assured that the Haryana Government, while working in line with the Prime Minister’s vision, will play a leading role in realizing the resolution of Viksit Bharat 2047 and development of every section of society will be ensured. During the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department, Smt. G. Anupama, Director Sh. Prashant Panwar, and other officers were also present.
