Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) Chandigarh, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, organized a tree plantation drive at the Regional Centre of Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Sector 12, Chandigarh, as part of the ongoing “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign on 22nd July 2025.

Sh. Vinay Kumar, District Youth Officer, MY Bharat Chandigarh, informed that MY Bharat Chandigarh is implementing a year-long programme under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative. The programme includes a series of engaging activities such as plantation drives, awareness campaigns, wall paintings, and knowledge-based competitions, with active participation from enthusiastic youth volunteers registered on the MY Bharat portal.

He further stated that detailed information about various youth-centric initiatives of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports is available on the official portal: www.mybharat.gov.in.The District Youth Officer also encouraged the youth of Chandigarh to register themselves on the MY Bharat portal and contribute actively to the vision of Viksit Bharat.

This plantation drive not only promotes environmental conservation but also inspires young citizens to actively participate in building a greener and sustainable future.Sh. Paramjit Singh, State Director, Mera Yuva Bharat Punjab & Chandigarh, along with officials and volunteers from MY Bharat Chandigarh & Punjab, RGNIYD, and members of the Prasanchetas Foundation, participated in the drive and planted saplings under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative.
