As part of the nationwide three-month campaign initiated by the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC), Haryana, under the convenership of Sh. Lalit Taneja, General Manager, has launched an intensive drive across the state to achieve saturation under key financial inclusion schemes.
This campaign, running from 1st July 2025 to 30th September 2025, aims to cover all eligible individuals under flagship social security schemes including Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY). Additionally, camps will facilitate opening of PMJDY (Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana) accounts for unbanked adults.
A total of 6,221 camps are planned in Gram Panchayats (GPs) and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) across Haryana. Beyond enrolment, the campaign also focuses on:
• Re-KYC of inactive PMJDY and other accounts.
• Spreading awareness about digital banking and cyber fraud prevention.
• Educating citizens on procedures to reclaim unclaimed deposits transferred to RBI and benefits of the Banking Ombudsman.
• Distribution of insurance claims under PMJJBY and PMSBY..
To ensure coordinated efforts, a special SLBC meeting chaired by Shri C G Rajnikanthan, IAS, Secretary, Finance, Government of Haryana, was convened on 25th June 2025. The meeting saw participation from Deputy Commissioners, Additional Deputy Commissioners of all 22 districts (via Webex), Lead District Managers, and Controlling Heads of major banks in Haryana.
The state-level launch of the campaign was held on 01 July 2025 at Gram Panchayat Bastara, Karnal, in the presence of Shri Sonu Bhatt, IAS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Karnal, and was attended by around 100 people. Since the launch of the campaign on 1st July 2025, Haryana has witnessed encouraging participation and steady progress.
Till 11th July 2025, a total of 946 camps have been successfully organized across various Gram Panchayats, covering 799 Gram Panchayats so far. During this period, 2,805 new PMJDY accounts have been opened for unbanked adults, along with 8,012 new enrolments under PMSBY and 5,118 under PMJJBY.
Additionally, 1,661 citizens have joined the Atal Pension Yojana (APY). In parallel, the campaign has helped update 2,807 inactive PMJDY accounts and completed Re-KYC for 3,096 other accounts, strengthening the accuracy and reliability of customer records. Efforts have also led to the disbursement of 10 claims under PMJJBY and 1 claim under PMSBY, while 977 new nominations have been obtained to enhance financial security for account holders’ families.
Haryana’s robust banking network—5465 bank branches of scheduled commercial banks, 55135 Business Correspondents Agents (BCAs), 144 Financial Literacy Centres (FLCs), 51 Centres for Financial Literacy (CFLs) and 21 Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs)—is actively engaged in making this campaign successful.

• Increased use of formal financial services and digital banking.
• Greater awareness about digital safety and consumer rights.
• Contribution to inclusive growth, entrepreneurship, and poverty reduction, aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047
This saturation campaign aspires to ensure that no eligible citizen is left behind, thereby empowering people with financial protection, access to banking, and digital services.
