As part of the Central Government’s job creation initiative, the 16th edition of the Rojgar Mela was organised by Northern Railway’s Jagadhri Workshop in Yamunanagar, alongside similar events held in 47 cities across India. Haryana’s Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. Shyam Singh Rana, attended the event as the Chief Guest and distributed appointment letters to selected candidates. In total, around 200 new recruits received appointment letters at this Mela.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually attended the program and addressed the youth of the country. He shared that the Rojgar Mela reflects the government’s strong focus on employment generation. He said these mela not only give youth job opportunities but also empower them and encourage their participation in the nation's progress.

So far, lakhs of young people have received appointment letters ‘Bina Parchi-Bina Kharchi’ practice and purely on merit basis. These youth are now playing an important role in building the country. During the programme, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi distributed appointment letters to 51,000 youth.

While addressing the gathering and distributing appointment letters to selected candidates from the Railways, Department of Posts, and Higher Education (Kurukshetra). Agriculture Minister Sh. Shyam Singh Rana congratulated the newly appointed candidates.

He said that the appointment letters are not just job offers but an opportunity to serve the country and be a part of its future growth. He encouraged the new recruits to work with honesty, dedication, and a spirit of public service.
