NCC Cadets from CGC Landran shine in Inter-Group Competitions

Three National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from Chandigarh Group of Colleges, (CGC) Landran, have brought laurels to the institution. While Cadet Saloni Nayak, a student of B.Tech, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, has bagged the Gold Medal in 3P Shooting, in the Inter Group Sports Shooting Competition (IGSSC 2025) organized by 2 Chandigarh BN NCC at Punjab Engineering College (PEC), Chandigarh, showcasing exceptional precision, focus and technical skill; Cadet Preneet Kaur, a B.Tech, Electronics & Communication Engineering  student, has excelled at the Basic Leadership Camp (BLC) held at 6 PB BN NCC Academy, Malout, also securing 2nd position in Debate Competition, demonstrating eloquence, clarity of thought and confidence. 

Cadet Chetan pursuing BCA, who also participated in the IGSSC, has qualified to compete in national-level Inter Directorate Sports Shooting Competition scheduled to be held next month in Mumbai. Expressing happiness Cadet Saloni Nayak said, “Winning gold at the IGSSC has been a dream come true. 

I would like to express my gratitude to my family, my teachers, our NCC HoD, Prod. (Dr.) Santosh Kumar and the supportive and encouraging environment at CGC Landran that continuously motivates me to push beyond limits and strive for excellence.” Meanwhile, Cadet Preneet Kaur said, “Joining the NCC has helped me grow immensely as a courageous, disciplined and resilient individual. 

Moreover, being able to represent my college and to perform well in the debate competition was a moment of pride that I will cherish forever.” It is notable that Cadet Saloni has attended 14 NCC camps, including five Combined Annual Training Camps (CATC), four Annual Training Camps (ATC), two Inter Directorate Sports Shooting Camps, two IGSSCs and Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) camp. 

Her successful participation in these prestigious camps reflects her razor sharp focus, discipline, hard work, dedication and self-belief. Cadet Preneet too has participated in multiple NCC activities including three CATCs and the Intergroup Competition-Republic day Camp (IGC-RDC), consistently reflecting her discipline, hard work, focus and active participation in nation-building initiatives. 

Congratulating the achievers Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC Landran and Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, CGC Landan, said, "Our NCC cadets continue to inspire us all with their hard work, unwavering discipline and determination.
