Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya expressed grief over the untimely and tragic demise of late Shri Vijay Rupani Ji, former Chief Minister of Gujarat, at a condolence meeting held at Dr Ambedkar Bhawan, Sector 37, Chandigarh, on Monday. Paying tributes to late Shri Rupani Ji, who was also Punjab BJP in-charge, Shri Dattatraya said that late Shri Rupani Ji was a soft-spoken, kind person, who was resolute in his commitment to public service and welfare of the people.
As the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he has rendered significant service for the all-round development of the state. He was a true patriot and a visionary leader, said Shri Dattatraya.
The Governor said that may the soul of Late Shri Rupani rest in peace and may his family be given strength to bear this irreparable loss. A two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul, was also observed on the occasion.
