Sood announced the arrival of Zoe Beesley, rider from the UK. . Zoe Beesley is a school teacher and an avid traveler. Describing her ability and skill ,Sood said that Zoe started cycling on a road bike while attending university but soon she felt the need to go beyond the tarmac. To better acclimatize to the single track conditions of mountain biking, Zoe shifted to fatter MTB tires and has never looked back since. Zoe has had the taste of a podium finish at Cross-Country and Endurance categories on many occasions including the Trans Nepal and Scottish races. Shifting continents, Zoe is planning to move to New Zealand by the end of this year.
About MTB Himalaya her answer was"why would you NOT want to race at the MTB Himalaya???!!!There is nothing like waking up with the Himalayas on your doorstep and getting to explore them on two wheels. Dusty trails, lung busting climbs, epic descents, panoramic mountain views, like minded people and lots of curry!!!” she also plans to share her knowledge and experience about mountain biking and environment conservation with young kids of local schools during her month long stay in the state.
MTB Himalaya 2013 is being organized from 27 Sept to 3 rd Oct 2013 from Shimla , in a 500kms track with 3120 meter maximum elevation. Organiser claim that It is an adventure of advanced route, better cycling conditions, and revamped structured management, for an altogether distinct and improved cycling adventure.one has to ride through uncharted interiors, hike through deep forests, soak in the sun and experience nature all around. ,with uphills, dangerous downhills, village back roads, beautiful meadows.
