In the midst of the war situation in the country, a meeting was held by the SarvdharmSadbhavna Committee at Future Ready Institute VidyaMandir, Shimla Pahari, Hoshiarpur. Addressing the gathering, Hoshiarpur MLA BrahmshankarJhimpa said that members of all religions, sects and all sections of the society stand firmly with the country and the forces fighting on the border in this hour of calamity. 

He said that all citizens must also take training in civil defence so that in case of disaster, quick action can be taken to save the lives of the injured. "In such a situation, we should follow all the guidelines of the administration and avoid rumours. A firm and befitting response to the terrorist activities sponsored by Pakistan for the last several years is absolutely necessary in which our armed forces are capable.

On this occasion, Mayor Surinder Shinda, Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini, Convenor of the Interfaith Harmony Committee AnuragSood, National Chairman of the Christian National Front Lawrence Chaudhari, Vice-President of GurdwaraShri Guru Singh Sabha Railway Road HoshiarpurAvtar Singh Loyal, Gurnam Singh Ghugman, MaulviShahabazMannan from the Ahmediya Muslim Jamaat, President of the SudSabhaHoshiarpurArvindSood Advocate, retired DFSO Inder Mohan Sharma and social worker Mani Gogia also appealed to all countrymen to unite the country at this time in their addresses.
