Can you imagine reliving your hostel life even after 35–40 years? It’s a dream many cherish, and Padam Walia, a dedicated member of the PU Hosteller Group, has turned this dream into reality for over 70 members of the Panjab University hostel group. This has been made possible through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the GMI Group, represented by Pardeep Bansal, Mohit Bansal, and Kunal Bansal CFO & and Director GMI Infra And Trustee GMI Charitable Trust, to launch GMI Elite Homes.

This premium residential project will be located near IT City, Mohali, along the prominent Bharat Mala Road. Designed as S+4 low-rise buildings featuring spacious 3BHK apartments, the project is thoughtfully crafted to cater to the evolving lifestyle needs of PU hostellers and alumni. Even the clubhouse has been designed to evoke nostalgia—complete with elements like the familiar Rajma Chawal from hostel canteens and messes.

Speaking about this heartfelt initiative, Padam Walia said, “This is truly a dream come true for our PU hosteller family. With the support of the GMI Group, we’re not just building houses—we’re creating homes rich with memories, legacy, and a strong sense of community.”
