Senior BJP leader and President of BJP Mahila Morcha Punjab, Jai Inder Kaur, has welcomed the imminent submission of the fact-finding committee’s report to the Hon’ble Supreme Court, calling it a significant step toward justice for BJP candidates who were violently and unlawfully denied their right to contest the Patiala municipal elections held in December last year.

“It is due to our tireless efforts that this matter reached the Supreme Court. In March, a fact-finding commission headed by Justice (Retd.) Jitendra Singh Gill of the Punjab and Haryana High Court was appointed to investigate the grave irregularities, violence, and procedural violations that occurred. The committee is currently conducting its hearings and will soon submit its report.

Justice is on the horizon, and our 18 BJP candidates—illegally barred from contesting—will rightfully be elected as Municipal Councillors,” said Jai Inder Kaur. She launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, accusing them of hijacking democracy in Punjab.

“The Municipal Council they forcefully and illegally formed is now standing on shaky ground. Once justice is served, that council will collapse — and truth will triumph.” Jai Inder Kaur further added, “Even women candidates like Meena Sharma, Kavita Grewal, and Sarla Rani were physically assaulted and denied the chance to file their nomination papers — right in front of a silent and complicit police force led by SSP Varinder Singh. The High Court’s orders for video recording of the nomination process were deliberately ignored. This was not an election; it was a brutal, state-backed assault on democracy.”

She reaffirmed the BJP’s unwavering commitment to justice and democratic values. “The fact-finding committee’s report will expose the conspiracy and restore the people’s mandate. The BJP will continue to fight until every wrong is corrected and democracy is fully restored in Punjab.”

Along with jai inder kaur BJP District Urban President Vijay Kumar Kuka, General Secretary Hardev Balli, Mandal President Harish Kapoor, former Councillor Sandeep Malhotra, District Youth BJP President Nikhil Kumar Kaka, Varun Jindal, former Mandal President Ramesh Kumar, Davinder Lali, Keval Krishan, Rita Rani, Mandal President Sikandar Chauhan, Kevalwati, Sushil Nayyar, Om Prakash, Shinder Kaur, Jaswinder Julka, Surjit Singh Bhatti, Seema Sharma, and Rama Puri, among others.
