Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi inaugurated the Waves Summit (World Audio-Visual and Entertainment Summit) today at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai. The event saw participation from 30 countries, including leading global companies like Google and Facebook, as well as renowned Bollywood and Hollywood entities.
At the summit, the Haryana Pavilion, set up by the Department of Information, Public Relations, and Languages, Haryana, showcased the state's welfare schemes, notable achievements, and its progressive film policy. The Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sh Rajesh Khullar, Director General of the Department of Information, Public Relations, and Languages Sh KM Pandurang, along with various department officials and Haryanvi artists were present on this occasion.
The Haryana Pavilion highlighted the state's commitment to promoting the film industry through the Haryana Film Policy, which aims to support Haryanvi artists and generate employment opportunities for Haryana's youth in the entertainment sector. In addition to this, the pavilion presented an impressive display of welfare schemes and the achievements of the Haryana government.
Visitors were also introduced to Haryana’s rich culture and heritage, ease of doing business, social reforms implemented by the government, and the rapid development driven by digitization. The pavilion also showcased Haryana’s achievements in sports, with a focus on the success of its athletes at the national level, as well as prominent film shooting locations in the state and the evolving journey of the film industry in Haryana.
