On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar — the architect of the Indian Constitution and a symbol of social justice and equality — the Bharatiya Janata Party, Chandigarh, organized tribute programs, seminars, and public awareness campaigns at all booths and mandals across the city. Party leaders, workers, and local citizens participated in large numbers.
At every booth, floral tributes were offered at Dr. Ambedkar’s portrait, and his thoughts and struggles were remembered. Special emphasis was laid on inspiring the youth with his ideals.
On this occasion, BJP Chandigarh President Jitender Pal Malhotra said:
“Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was not just the architect of the Constitution but the voice of upliftment and justice for the marginalized in India. Unfortunately, the Congress party repeatedly insulted him.
After his demise, Congress did not allow his last rites to take place in Delhi. They even denied the construction of a memorial for the Constitution’s architect. These are the same people who let him lose in the elections and deliberately tried to erase his legacy.”
“The Bharatiya Janata Party is committed to fulfilling the dreams of Dr. Ambedkar. Today, the party is taking his ideas to the grassroots level. We believe that building a society based on harmony and equality is the true tribute to Baba Saheb.”
These programs also included speeches, group discussions, and public campaigns based on his life, struggles, and social contributions. Youth were especially educated about the values of constitutional rights, duties, and the importance of social equality.
This initiative by the BJP Chandigarh is not just a tribute, but a firm resolve to walk the path shown by Baba Saheb and prioritize social justice, education, and nation-building.
