In a proactive approach to ensure the smooth conduct of the annual Baisakhi festival, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal, along with concerned officers, visited Shiromani Dera Santpura Nangali Sahib today.

The visit included a crucial meeting with Shrimaan Mahant Manjeet Singh Ji to discuss the arrangements needed for the festival. During the meeting, the members of the management committee of Dera Santpura Nangali raised several important issues seeking adequate provision for drinking water, proper lighting, sanitation, security and a parking facility.

They also highlighted the urgent requirement for repairing potholes on the main road leading to Nangali Sahib. Responding to the demands, the Deputy Commissioner assured the committee that necessary security arrangements would be made and directed the ARTO to ensure organized vehicle parking during the festival.
