Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi is reaching Haryana on April 14 to give a big gift to the people of the state. On this day, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of 800 MW capacity thermal unit in Yamunanagar, inaugurate the airport in Hisar and lay the foundation stone of a new terminal.

Through these development works, the Prime Minister will connect Viksit Haryana with Viksit Bharat. The Chief Minister was talking to journalists after reviewing the preparations at the programme venue on Sunday.

He said electricity is the biggest need of the present time. Be it railways or electric vehicles running on roads, we are dependent on electricity for everything. He said that 800 MW thermal unit for which the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone in Yamunanagar is being built by BHEL and its construction will cost Rs 7,272 crore. 

The work of this unit will be completed by the end of the year 2028. Responding to questions, the Chief Minister said he has held a meeting with officials and reviewed all the preparations so that there are no issues at both the places in Yamunanagar and Hisar.

Expressing satisfaction over the preparations for the programme, he said the people of Haryana are eager to give a grand welcome to Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi at both the places. These gifts of development to the state will benefit not only the people but also the people of the country. 

He said after a big victory in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, the BJP has also got a big victory in the recent local body elections. In such a situation, the development of the state will be done at the thrice the speed. He said the Prime Minister is arriving in the state to increase this pace.

The Chief Minister enquired about all the arrangements, including the pandal being prepared at the venue, VIP gallery, media gallery, parking, drinking water and toilets at the venue. He instructed that the parking arrangement should be better and arrangements should be made so that the people coming from all over the state to the programme do not face any problem. Along with this, drinking water should be arranged at the venue as well as at the parking places.

BJP State President Sh. Mohan Lal Kaushik, Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Sh. Shyam Singh Rana, MLA Yamunanagar Sh. Ghanshyam Das Arora, former Cabinet Minister Sh. Kanwar Pal, Municipal Corporation Mayor Suman Bahamani, Commissioner and Secretary, Development and Panchayat Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal, Director General, Information, Public Relations and Language Department Sh. K. Makarand Pandurang and officials of other departments were present on the occasion.
