The Indian Army's Vajra Corps organized a Mega Ex-Servicemen Rally on 30 March 2025 at Hoshiarpur, Punjab, reaffirming its commitment to veterans under the theme 'Veeron Ka Samman, Desh Ka Abhiman'. More than 2,000 ex-servicemen and their families from Hoshiarpur and nearby districts attended the event. 

Lieutenant General Ajay Chandpuria, AVSM, VSM, General Officer Commanding, Vajra Corps, lauded their sacrifices and assured them of the Army's unwavering support. To honour their courage and resilience, the Army felicitated Veer Naris, battle casualties and war veterans. Dedicated pension, medical and welfare desks manned by DIAV/SPARSH, Regimental Centres, the Army Recruiting Office and the Veteran Sahayta Kendra addressed Veterans' concerns. 

Specialist medical camp, employment and legal assistance counters and financial guidance from leading banks further supported the attendees. Veterans pursuing agriculture were introduced to modern farming equipment and techniques by leading subject matter experts.

On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain addressed the gathering and said that ex-servicemen are the backbone of our society. They have dedicated the precious years of their lives to the defense of the nation. It is our duty to make every possible effort for their welfare. 

From the administration’s side, we will ensure that their concerns are addressed on a priority basis. The event featured an electrifying Pipe Band Display, a traditional Khukri Dance and a high-energy Bhangra performance, blending the martial traditions of the Army and Punjab's rich heritage. 

A spectacular display of weapons and military equipment, showcased the Indian Army's technological prowess and operational readiness, inspiring the local youth to join the Armed Forces. A dedicated Agniveer registration counter helped the aspiring candidates towards recruitment registration.

The Vajra Corps' Ex-Servicemen Rally reinforced the Army's deep bond with its veterans. Beyond defending the nation's borders, the Army remains committed to those who once served with pride, ensuring every hero's sacrifice is honoured and never forgotten.

On this occasion SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik, SP Navneet Kaur Gill, SDM Hoshiarpur Sanjeev Kumar, SDM Tanda Pankaj Kumar, and Lieutenant General (Retd.)J.S. Dhillon, other officials from the Army, civil administration, and police department were also present.
