In a landmark initiative aimed at bridging the gap between local talent and industry needs, the Kathua administration is set to host its biggest job fair on February 21st. The marquee event will offer over 1,000 vacancies to skilled and qualified youth, with participation from major industrial players such as Godrej, Varun Beverages, Cream Bell, LIC, and several other reputed organizations.

Addressing a press Conference here today, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rakesh Minhas outlined the extensive employment opportunities available. He stated, "This is a first-of-its-kind event in Kathua that brings together a diverse range of industries under one roof. 

We are happy to announce that the Kathua-based industries and establishments are offering over 1,000 job openings, catering to different qualification levels and expertise, and we encourage all eligible candidates to make the most of this opportunity." Dr. Minhas further highlighted that the job fair is an integral part of the administration’s broader strategy to boost local employment and stimulate economic growth in the region, emphasizing the importance of skills development and continuous training to ensure the local workforce remains competitive in a rapidly evolving job market. 

He also noted that the event is designed to serve as a comprehensive platform for both fresh graduates and experienced professionals to interact with industry leaders and secure sustainable career opportunities, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to fostering local talent and enhancing the region’s industrial capabilities through innovative initiatives like this job fair.

The vacancy breakdown includes 500 posts for candidates with a minimum qualification of a 10th pass, 200 posts for candidates who have completed their 12th grade, and 300 posts for graduates from various streams and experiences. Job openings span across multiple sectors, with roles ranging from Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers to Wellness Advisors, Plant Managers, Accounts and Purchase Managers, Graphic Designers, and NOC Analysts. 

Additional opportunities include positions for Insurance Advisors and Supervisors, Boiler and Machine Operators, Quality Control Operators, Electricians, Fitters, Helpers, Security Guards, Trainees, HR professionals, as well as various positions in the Pharmaceuticals sector. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Minhas concluded, "This job fair is an extension of our commitment to creating employment opportunities and fostering local talent.
