Haryana Cooperation, Jails, Heritage, and Tourism Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma said that Haryana's contribution to Indian achievements is steadily growing, not just in space but across the globe. Haryana-made products are making their mark in over half the countries worldwide.

The state leads in various sectors, including space exploration, defense, healthcare, and automobile manufacturing. He invited Indian expatriates, emphasizing that Haryana offers a welcoming and conducive environment for their return. Dr. Sharma made these remarks during the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

Representing Haryana, he, along with Union Education Minister Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, visited the "Gateway of Developed India" exhibition and participated in sessions led by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on "Celebrating Nari Shakti and the Impact of Women in the Diaspora" and Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Mr. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on "Stories of Belongingness and Cultural Dialogue."

During his address to Indian expatriates, Dr. Sharma said that Haryana's contributions extend to critical missions like Chandrayaan 3, which included nuts and bolts from Rohtak. He said that Haryana is a leading producer of essential components for metro equipment and medical machinery.

He also mentioned the state's significant role in the cooperative sector, with HAFED products being exported to countries like Malaysia and Abu Dhabi. Dr. Sharma emphasized Haryana's growing strength in sports, education, and industry, delivering impressive results.

On the third day of the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, he joined Union Education Minister Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan and members of the Odisha Cabinet in reviewing the "Gateway of Developed India" exhibition. He further announced the upcoming 38th Surajkund International Crafts Mela, scheduled from February 7 to February 23 in Faridabad.

The event will feature BIMSTEC countries—Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand—as international partners, with Odisha and Madhya Pradesh as state partners. The North East Handloom and Handicraft Association will participate as a cultural partner, adding to the grandeur of the international fair.
