The Moga District Administration has launched "Manzil 2050," an ambitious 25-year development initiative aimed at creating a sustainable and inclusive future for the district. This people-driven mission is designed to empower citizens to contribute innovative ideas and solutions for addressing the district's developmental challenges.

Deputy Commissioner Mr Vishesh Sarangal alongwith other senior officials launched this campaign today. The initiative invites suggestions from residents, including students, villagers, urban dwellers, and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), across various focus areas such as education, healthcare, sustainable development, tourism, agriculture, environmental conservation, infrastructure, and law and order.

Suggestions can be submitted via a Google Form available on the district's social media platforms and official website. Suggestion drop boxes will also be placed at government offices. Submissions for the initiative are open until January 31, 2025.

Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal emphasized the program's significance, stating, "Manzil 2050 aligns with national goals under the Aspirational Districts Programme and global frameworks like the UN Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring a commitment to long-term, sustainable growth."

The administration will analyze all submissions to create a comprehensive blueprint for Moga's development over the next 25 years. He said that this roadmap would address existing challenges while preparing for future needs, including climate resilience, technological advancements, and industrial growth.

Manzil 2050 embodies Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's vision of restoring Punjab's identity as "Rangla Punjab," a symbol of a vibrant and prosperous state. The Moga District Administration invites citizens to participate in this transformative journey and help shape the future of the district for generations to come.

Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal was accompanied by ADC (G) Ms. Charumita, Assistant Commissioner Hiteshvir Gupta, District Development Fellow Anurag Singh Chandel, and Aspirational Block Fellow Gurjeet Singh Bhogal. Together, they emphasized the importance of inclusivity in the district level planning process.
