Actress Shweta Tripathi is known for her transformative roles, diving into diverse characters with gripping storylines in acclaimed projects like Mirzapur, Masaan, and Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein.

As she reprises her role as Shikha in the highly anticipated second season of Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein, Shweta opens up about the factors that drive her to take on each new role, with her desire to keep her characters distinct from herself and from one another.

Reflecting on her approach to choosing roles, Shweta shared, “I want my characters to be different from me and different from each other.

I like the stakes that come with high drama, where each character’s journey feels intense and impactful.” She added, “The character of Shikha is very different from who I am, and I enjoy the challenge of stepping into her world.”

Describing the storyline of Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein, Shweta reveals, “The show really asks the question, ‘How far would you go for love?’

That’s the journey Shikha finds herself on this season, and it’s something I think audiences will find deeply relatable yet haunting. This season, audiences will see a feminine and vulnerable side to my character, yet one that is fierce and determined.

It’s such an exciting balance to bring to life.”In Season 2, viewers will witness Shikha as she navigates heartbreak and emotional turmoil in her quest for love and identity.

Elaborating on her character’s journey, Shweta revealed, “Shikha’s world crumbles when her true love, Vikrant, marries Purva, leaving her feeling lost and hopeless.

Fearful and non-confrontational by nature, she initially avoids crossing any lines to harm others. This season reveals a new side to Shikha as she decides to fight for her love alongside Vikrant.”

With an intense storyline and deeper mysteries, Season 2 of Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein promises to be an emotional rollercoaster, delving into the complexities of love, loyalty, and resilience.

Fans can anticipate the next chapter of Shikha’s journey, where high-stakes drama and personal growth converge in a thrilling narrative.

This season, Shweta’s character goes beyond romance, challenging viewers to rethink their ideas of love, sacrifice, and personal boundaries.

“Love is such a multifaceted emotion,” Shweta continues. “I’ve explored anger, revenge, and resilience in my previous roles, but this story lets me show how love can transform you and, sometimes, consume you.

As an actor, it’s refreshing to play a character who is driven by pure passion rather than darkness. Shikha’s journey is a testament to love’s complexity, it can be empowering but also terrifying.”
