Haryana Chief Secretary, Dr. T.V.S.N Prasad, inaugurated a new Yoga Centre at the Haryana Civil Secretariat today. The centre, established with the support of the ‘Haryana Yog Aayog’, is aimed at promoting both the physical and mental well-being of government employees, encouraging mindfulness and a balanced work-life routine.

Dr. Prasad expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, noting that such wellness programs play a crucial role in enhancing employee productivity and contributing positively to their health. The Yoga Centre will offer regular sessions for employees, conducted by qualified instructors.

Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Sh. Sudhir Rajpal, expressed gratitude to the Chief Secretary and stated that the initiative will be highly beneficial for the employees. He also mentioned that male and female yoga instructors will visit employee workstations to introduce simple breathing exercises that can be performed while seated, helping to improve posture and reduce stress.

During the inauguration, Diksha Sharma, a young girl, performed yoga asanas, captivating the audience with her flexibility. Special Secretary to Government, Haryana, Secretariat Establishment, Sh. Samwartak Singh Khangwal was also present during the inauguration.
