Punjab Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria emphasized on the need to adopt the spirit of interfaith harmony to make the country and the world a better and more peaceful place. The Governor said this while addressing the gathering during 'Virat Sarv Dharam Sangam' organized by S.S. Jain Sabha, Jalandhar, on the occasion of Acharya Shri Aatam Manohar's birth anniversary. Punjab Governor attended this event alongwith his wife Mrs. Anita Kataria.

During his address, Governor Kataria said that in today's modern era, it is crucial to understand the importance of interfaith harmony to strengthen ideals of peace, unity, and humanity. He stressed that such platforms are the need of the hour where people from all religions come together with their beliefs and faiths, fostering unity and goodwill.

Speaking about the greatness of Jainism, the Governor said that Jainism has made a significant contribution to the world, always promoting peace, non-violence, and cooperation. He added that Jainism conveys a message of non-violence, love, and compassion, not only for human beings but also for every living creature be it trees, and birds or other species on the planet Earth.

Praising the initiative of organizing this special event, the Governor appreciated S.S. Jain Sabha's unique effort, where saints and spiritual leaders from various religions and traditions gave the valuable message of unity and mutual respect from a single platform.

He said that this event should inspire us to work together to create a better society for the welfare of the country and the world. He also urged the saints and spiritual leaders present on the platform to take this effort further and encourage harmony and cooperation among all sections of society.
