Ravneet Singh Bittu is an Indian political leader from the state of Punjab. Ravneet Singh Bittu is serving as Minister of State for Railways and Minister of State for Food Processing Industries in the third Modi government. Ravneet Singh Bittu was elected to the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament, from Ludhiana in the 2014 and 2019 Indian general elections and earlier from Anandpur Sahib in 2009. 

Ravneet Singh Bittu is the grandson of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh. Ravneet Singh Bittu previously served as the Leader of the Indian National Congress in the Lok Sabha from 11 March 2021 to 18 July 2021.

Who is Ravneet Singh Bittu?

Ravneet Singh Bittu was born on 10 September 1975 in Kotli, District Ludhiana, Punjab, to Swarnjit Singh and Jasvir Kaur. Ravneet Singh was first elected to the 15th Lok Sabha as a representative from Anandpur Sahib. He was re-elected to the 16th Lok Sabha from Ludhiana and won the election for the second consecutive time from the same constituency in 2019.

Before the start of the 2024 general elections, Ravneet Singh Bittu moved from the Congress party to the Bharatiya Janata Party. After this, the BJP government nominated him to contest against Congress candidate Amarinder Singh Raja Waring from the Ludhiana seat.
