Hon’ble Justice Tashi Rabstan, Chief Justice (A) of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh and Patron-in-Chief and Executive Chairman of the J&K Legal Services Authority paid an official visit to Pulwama today. He was accompanied by Hon'ble Justice Rajnesh Oswal, Judge of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh and Administrative Judge for District Pulwama, Justice Rabstan inaugurated a Legal Literacy Club at Solace International High School, Pulwama, under the aegis of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Pulwama and the J&K Legal Services Authority.

The Legal Literacy Club aims to educate students about various government welfare schemes, fundamental duties and constitutional rights. It seeks to foster a culture of legal awareness among students, focusing on critical issues such as traffic regulations and drug addiction. 

Justice Rabstan emphasized the importance of abiding by the law and understanding the objectives of the Constitution. He highlighted that legal education, especially for young students, is crucial in shaping responsible citizens who can actively contribute to society.

Justice Rajnesh Oswal echoed these sentiments, stressing that awareness programs like this play a vital role in helping students understand how to avail themselves of government schemes and facilities for their welfare. The club’s activities, as per its calendar, will focus on instilling a deep understanding of legal principles, thereby empowering students to make informed decisions.

In his address, Justice Rabstan wished the students the best of luck and reiterated the importance of legal awareness in schools. He emphasized that the Legal Literacy Club will serve as a key platform for educating the youth about their rights and duties, ensuring they grow into informed and responsible citizens.

This initiative marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to promote legal education and awareness in Pulwama, contributing to the welfare and development of the region.
