BJP Mahila Morcha Patiala and Yuva Morcha, led by BJP Punjab Mahila Morcha President Jai Inder Kaur, staged a protest at Fountain Chowk, Patiala, against the Punjab Government's recent fuel price hike. The protest highlighted the burden on common people due to the AAP government's policies.

The Punjab Government has increased petrol prices by 61 paise and diesel by 92 paise, adding to the already soaring fuel costs. Since the AAP government came to power, diesel and petrol prices have risen by almost ₹3. Furthermore, electricity rates have increased by ₹3 per unit, and the 7-kilowatt electricity subsidy has been suspended.

The protesters demanded immediate rollback of the fuel price hike and restoration of subsidies, citing the unbearable burden on the common man. They criticized the AAP government for its anti-people policies and neglect of public welfare.

Jai Inder Kaur, BJP Punjab Mahila Morcha President, said, "The AAP government has failed to deliver on its promises, instead, it has increased the burden on the common people. We demand immediate action to address the concerns of the public." She further slammed Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for his priorities, saying he is more focused on poll campaigns in Haryana and self-promotion through expensive advertisements, while Punjab reels under massive debt.

"It's shameful that the CM is busy building his image in other states, while Punjab's people suffer due to his government's policies," said Jai Inder Kaur. "The public money should be used for public welfare, not for CM's political ambitions."

The protest was attended by a large number of BJP workers and supporters, who raised slogans against the Punjab Government's policies.
