Haryana Civil Aviation Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta said that the construction of the Ambala Civil Enclave (domestic airport) is progressing rapidly and the first flight to Ayodhya will commence in August. Dr. Kamal Gupta today visited the under-construction site of the Ambala Civil Enclave. He was accompanied by Haryana's former Home and Health Minister and Ambala Cantt MLA, Sh. Anil Vij.
During the visit, Dr. Kamal Gupta inspected the construction site. He reviewed the progress of the work with PWD officers and related agencies and directed them to expedite the work to complete the Civil Enclave (domestic airport) project with better coordination.
Later, while interacting with the media persons the Minister shared that he had inspected the site a few days earlier. He also gathered information about the runway and other aspects with Air Force officials. He shared that flights should commence from here soon.
Dr. Kamal Gupta said that the first flight would soon depart from here to Ayodhya, followed by flights to Jammu and other destinations. On this occasion, he also congratulated shooters Sarabjot Singh and Manu Bhaker for winning a bronze medals in the Paris Olympics, stating that it is a matter of pride for Haryana and the entire country. Our athletes are bringing glory to India worldwide with their prowess, he said.
Meanwhile, Former Home Minister and Ambala Cantt MLA, Sh. Anil Vij said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has gifted Ambala Cantt with several development projects, including the Civil Enclave (domestic airport) project, which is a significant gift.
He said that having an airport in any area accelerates development, benefits the entire region, and creates new employment opportunities. Sh. Anil Vij shared that the officers have assured him and Minister, Sh. Kamal Gupta that the work would be completed by August 15 and that flights would commence soon.

हरियाणा के नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्री डॉ कमल गुप्ता ने कहा कि बड़ी तेजी से अंबाला के सिविल एन्क्लेव (घरेलू हवाई अड्डा) का निर्माण कार्य किया जा रहा है और अगस्त महीने से ही यहां से अयोध्या के लिए पहली फ्लाइट शुरू होगी। मंत्री डॉ. कमल गुप्ता आज अंबाला सिविल एन्क्लेव के निर्माणाधीन स्थल पर पहुंचे थे।
इस दौरान उनके साथ हरियाणा के पूर्व गृह एवं स्वास्थ्य मंत्री तथा अंबाला कैंट के विधायक अनिल विज भी साथ थे।इस दौरान मंत्री डॉ. कमल गुप्ता ने निर्माणाधीन स्थल का दौरा किया। उन्होनें पीडब्ल्यूडी के अधिकारियों के साथ-साथ संबंधित एजेंसियों से निर्माण कार्य की प्रगति जानी और उन्हें निर्देश दिए कि वे बेहतर समन्वय बनाकर दिन-रात काम करवाकर सिविल एन्क्लेव (घरेलू हवाई अड्डा) के कार्य को पूरा करवाएं।
उन्होंने कहा कि 10 अगस्त को वे दोबारा से यहां का जायजा लेंगे और यहां पर पानी, बिजली, सीवरेज व अन्य संबंधित जो भी कार्य है वे सभी पूरे होने चाहिए। इस मौके पर उन्होंने पत्रकारों से बातचीत करते हुए कहा कि कुछ दिन पहले भी उन्होंने यहां का जायजा लिया था। एयरफोर्स के अधिकारियों के साथ अंदर जाकर भी रनवे के साथ-साथ अन्य सभी बातों की जानकारी हासिल की थी, उनकी मंशा है कि जल्द ही यहां से जहाज उड़ान भरें।
उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि पूर्व गृह मंत्री अनिल विज ने इस प्रोजेक्ट के लिए रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह से मिलकर आर्मी से यह जमीन दिलवाई थी। आर्मी से जमीन लेना आसान बात नहीं हैं, यह सबको पता हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि जल्द ही यहां से अयोध्या के लिए पहली उड़ान भरी जाएगी और उसके बाद जम्मू या अन्य के लिए यहां से उड़ान भरी जाएगी। इस मौके पर उन्होंने शूटिंग खिलाड़ी सरबजोत सिंह व मनु भाकर द्वारा पेरिस ओलंपिक में कांस्य पदक जीतने पर प्रत्येक प्रदेशवासी को बधाई देते हुए कहा कि यह हरियाणा के साथ पूरे देश के लिए गर्व की बात है। हमारे खिलाड़ी अपने पराक्रम से पूरे विश्व में भारत का नाम रोशन कर रहें हैं।
इस मौके पर पूर्व गृह मंत्री व अंबाला छावनी से विधायक अनिल विज ने कहा कि देश के प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने अम्बाला छावनी में अनेकों विकास कार्य रूपी परियोजनाओं का तोहफा देने का काम किया हैं। इन परियोजनाओं में सिविल एन्क्लेव (घरेलू हवाई अड्डा) परियोजना भी एक अहम तोहफा हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि किसी भी क्षेत्र में हवाई अड्डा होने से विकास में तेजी आती हैं। पूरे क्षेत्र का विकास होता हैं, रोजगार के नए-नए अवसर उपलब्ध होते हैं।
उन्होंने कहा कि अधिकारियों ने उन्हें व मंत्री कमल गुप्ता को आश्वस्त किया है कि 15 अगस्त तक इस कार्य को पूरा कर लिया जाएगा और जल्द ही यहां से उड़ान भरी जाएगी। इस मौके पर उन्होंने भी पेरिस ओलंपिक में खिलाड़ी सरबजोत सिंह द्वारा कांस्य पदक जीतने पर खुशी जताई और कहा कि पेरिस ओलंपिक से लौटने पर सरबजोत सिंह का जोरदार स्वागत किया जाएगा।
