Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri while chairing a meeting of the Board of Directors of Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) here today, held a detailed discussion on reducing the expenditure and increasing the revenue of the corporation.
Sh. Agnihotri said that a decision has been taken in the meeting to increase the honorarium of the Daily wagers from Rs. 375 to Rs. 400 adding that the process of appointing 357 conductors has also been completed and soon they will be providing their services.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that HRTC was going to complete 50 years of its existence and it was a matter of pride that the corporation's buses were providing services to 70 lakh people in the state. Mukesh Agnihotri announced that soon the HRTC will purchase 297 electric vehicles the tenders will be floated soon besides 24 old Volvo buses will be replaced with the new ones.The discount scheme on bus fares will continue as before.
He said that 100 tempo travelers would be purchased and introduced on the specific routes to ensure comfortable journey to the commuters. Besides 250 diesel buses will be purchased in the near future, he remarked. The BoD thanked the state government for providing adequate grant and said that the corporation was committed to provide salaries and pensions to its employees and since for the last five months the salaries were being paid well in time.
The Managing Director of HRTC, Rohan Chand Thakur conducted the meeting and assured that the corporation's functioning will be improved in the coming time, providing better services to the people and increasing the revenue of the corporation.
Members Board of Directors, Ranjit Singh Rana, Ram Gopal Sharma, Mohinder Sandhu, Pradeep Surya, Nishant Thakur, and Manmohan Katoch, Managing Director D.C. Negi, Special Secretary Finance Vinay Kumar were also present on the occasion amongst others.

एचआरटीसी दैनिक वेतन भोगियों का वेतन 375 से बढ़ाकर 400 रुपये किया गया

उप-मुख्यमंत्री मुकेश अग्निहोत्री की अध्यक्षता में आज यहां हिमाचल पथ परिवहन निगम निदेशक मंडल की बैठक में निगम के खर्चे घटाने और राजस्व बढ़ाने पर विस्तृत चर्चा की गई। मुकेश अग्निहोत्री ने कहा कि परिहवन निगम में कंडक्टरों की भर्ती की प्रक्रिया पूरी कर ली गई है और 357 चयनित उम्मीदवारों को नियुक्ति पत्र जारी किए जाएंगे।
उन्होंने कहा कि आज की बैठक में निगम के दैनिक वेतन भोगियों का दैनिक वेतन 375 रुपये से बढ़ाकर 400 रूपये करने का महत्वपूर्ण फैसला लिया गया है।उन्होंने कहा कि हिमाचल पथ परिवहन निगम अपनी स्थापना के 50 वर्ष मनाने जा रहा है। यह बहुत गर्व की बात है कि निगम की बसें प्रदेश के लाखों लोगों को रात-दिन सेवाएं प्रदान कर रही है।
हर दिन लगभग पांच लाख लोग परिवहन निगम की सेवाओं का लाभ उठा रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि परिवहन निगम अपने लोगों ”सजग साधना सविनय सेवा’’ के साथ तत्परता से अपना काम कर रहा है। उन्होनें कहा कि परिवहन निगम अपने कर्मचारियों को वेतन व सेवानिवृत्त कर्मचारियों को पेंशन प्रदान करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है और पिछले लगभग पांच महीनों से समय पर वेतन दिया जा रहा है।
श्री अग्निहोत्री ने कहा कि निगम के बेड़े में नई 297 इलैक्ट्रिक बसें खरीदने के लिए टेंडर अपने अंतिम चरण पर है। इसके अलावा, 24 पुरानी वोल्वो बसों को नई बसों से बदला जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि निगम की बसों के किराये में छूट की योजनाएं पूर्ववत् जारी रहेंगी। उन्होंने कहा कुछ रूटों पर बड़ी बसों के स्थान पर टैंपो ट्रैवलर चलाए जाएंगे कि भविष्य में 100 टैंपो ट्रैवलर और 250 डीजल बसें खरीदी जाएंगी।
उन्होंने परिवहन निगम को मिल रहे अनुदान के लिए राज्य सरकार का अभार व्यक्त किया। निगम के प्रबंध निदेशक रोहन चंद ठाकुर ने बैठक का संचालन किया। उन्होंने आश्वासन दिया कि आने वाले समय में निगम की कार्यप्रणाली में और सुधार लाया जाएगा, ताकि लोगों को बेहतर सेवाएं प्रदान करने के साथ-साथ निगम की आय में भी वृद्धि की जा सके। निदेशक मंडल के गैर-सरकारी सदस्य रंजीत सिंह राणा, राम गोपाल शर्मा, मोहिंद्र संधु, प्रदीप सूर्या, निशांत ठाकुर और मनमोहन कटोच, प्रबंध निदेशक डी.सी. नेगी, विशेष सचिव वित्त विनय कुमार बैठक में उपस्थित थे।
