Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini said that programs like ‘Raahgiri’ not only foster a sense of unity and harmony among people but are also effective in making the youth mentally and physically robust.Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh was addressing public at the Raahgiri program organized near Herbal Park in Ambala city under the Haryana Uday Programme.
Before this, the Chief Minister cycled himself near the PWD Rest House in Ambala city, promoting a message of good health. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also spread the message of the campaign 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' run by the Forest, Environment, and Wildlife Department, and planted a tree himself.
The Chief Minister expressed his fortune at participating in the Raahgiri program on the sacred land of Ambala and congratulated everyone for being part of the event. He said that the Raahgiri program sends a good message of staying healthy and staying away from drugs menace.
The Chief Minister mentioned that on June 5th, World Environment Day, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi launched the campaign named 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam'. Notably, the Chief Minister initiated this campaign from Karnal on July 13th and continued it today by planting saplings in Ambala.
This campaign will be run during the monsoon by all educational institutions, social-religious organizations, and government departments. He urged planting more saplings to keep the environment clean and maintain temperature balance, and to take care of them until they become trees. During the program, the Forest Department also distributed more than five thousand fruit and shade-giving saplings.
More than 1.5 crore trees have been planted
While interacting with media persons, Chief Minister, said that over the past ten years, millions of trees have been planted in the state, and this year alone, more than 1.5 crore trees have been planted so far. Through Agroforestry, saplings have also been planted in farmers' fields.
He appealed to people to plant a tree on their child's birthday, anniversary, or other social celebrations to make these events memorable. He also honored the martyrs who protected the motherland during the first spark of the freedom movement that rose from Ambala's soil on June 8, 1857.
CM played volleyball to boost the morale of youth
The Raahgiri program featured 23 activities related to various physical activities, including sports like tug of war, kabaddi, football, weightlifting, mallakhamb, street plays, and volleyball. The Chief Minister also played a volleyball match and encouraged young players. During this, he presented mementos to international gymnast Yogeshwar Singh and international judo player Surender Singh to boost their morale.
On this occasion, Minister of State for Transport and Women & Child Development, Sh. Aseem Goel and district administration presented a memento to the Chief Minister. The District Red Cross Society also distributed motorized cycles and wheelchairs to differently-abled persons through Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh.
Various departments and institutions had set up stalls during the Raahgiri program, which the Chief Minister visited and appreciated the displayed items, buying some as well. Meanwhile, there were excellent cultural programs based on Haryanvi and Punjabi culture, which everyone enjoyed.
On this occasion, Divisional Commissioner, Smt. Geeta Bharti, DIG, Sh. Pankaj Nain, Ambala's Mayor Shakti Rani, Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Shaleen, Municipal Commissioner, Smt. Sangeeta Tetarwal, besides other senior officers were present.

मानसून के दौरान चल रहे वन महोत्सव में मुख्यमंत्री ने 'एक पेड़ मां के नाम' लगाकर सभी को पर्यावरण को हरा-भरा बनाए रखने का दिया संदेश

हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री नायब सिंह सैनी ने कहा कि राहगीरी जैसे कार्यक्रम लोगों में एकता और प्रेम की भावना को जागृत करने के साथ-साथ युवाओं को मानसिक व शारीरिक दृष्टि से हष्ट-पुष्ट बनाने में भी कारगर होते हैं। मुख्यमंत्री नायब सिंह सैनी हरियाणा उदय कार्यक्रम के तहत आज हर्बल पार्क अम्बाला शहर के नजदीक आयोजित राहगीरी कार्यक्रम में उमड़े जनसैलाब को संबोधित कर रहे थे। इससे पहले लोक निर्माण विश्राम गृह अम्बाला शहर के पास मुख्यमंत्री ने स्वयं साइकिल चलाकर लोगों को स्वस्थ रहने का संदेश भी दिया।
इस मौके पर मुख्यमंत्री ने वन, पर्यावरण व वन्य प्राणी विभाग द्वारा वन क्षेत्र को बढ़ाने के लिए चलाए जा रहे अभियान 'एक पेड़ मां के नाम' का संदेश भी दिया और उन्होंने स्वयं एक पौधा भी लगाया। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि माँ अम्बा की पवित्र धरा अम्बाला की इस भूमि पर राहगीरी कार्यक्रम में पहुंचने पर मैं अपना सौभाग्य मानता हूं और सभी को कार्यक्रम का हिस्सा बनने पर बधाई देता हूं। उन्होंने कहा कि राहगीरी कार्यक्रम में युवाओं द्वारा साइकिलिंग कर स्वस्थ रहने व नशे से दूर रहने का अच्छा संदेश है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि गत 5 जून को विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस पर प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने 'एक पेड़ मां के नाम' अभियान शुरू किया है। उल्लेखनीय है कि मुख्यमंत्री ने करनाल से 13 जुलाई को एक पेड़ मां के नाम के अभियान की शुरुआत की थी और इसी कड़ी में आज अंबाला में पौधारोपण किया। यह अभियान मानसून के दौरान सभी शिक्षण संस्थानों, सामाजिक-धार्मिक संगठनों व सरकारी विभागों द्वारा चलाया जाएगा।
उन्होंने कहा कि वातावरण को स्वच्छ रखने व तापमान के संतुलन को बनाए रखने के लिए ज्यादा से ज्यादा पौधे लगाए और पेड़ बनने तक उनकी देखभाल करें। कार्यक्रम के दौरान वन विभाग द्वारा पांच हजार से अधिक फलदार व छायादार पौधे भी वितरित किए गए।
डेढ़ करोड़ से ज्यादा पौधे लगाए गए
इस मौके पर पत्रकारों से बातचीत करते हुए मुख्यमंत्री श्री नायब सिंह सैनी ने कहा कि पिछले 10 वर्षो में प्रदेश में करोड़ों पौधे लगाने का काम किया गया है और इस वर्ष अभी तक डेढ़ करोड़ से ज्यादा पौधे लगाए जा चुके हैं। एग्रो फोरेस्टी के माध्यम से भी किसानों के खेतों में पौधे लगवाए गए हैं।
उन्होंने लोगों से अपील की है कि अपने बच्चे के जन्म दिवस, सालगिरह व अन्य सामाजिक महोत्सव के दौरान भी एक पेड़ लगाकर इस समारोह को यादगार बनाएं। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि 8 जून 1857 को स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन की पहली चिंगारी अंबाला की धरती से उठी थी और इस आंदोलन में मातृभूमि की रक्षा करने वाले शहीदों को में नमन करता हूं।
मुख्यमंत्री ने वॉलीबॉल मैच खेल कर युवाओं का बढ़ाया हौसला
राहगीरी कार्यक्रम में विभिन्न प्रकार की शारीरिक गतिविधियों से संबंधित 23 एक्टिविटी जिसमें खेल जैसे रस्साकस्सी, कबड्डी, फुटबॉल, वेटलिफ्टिंग, मलखम, नुक्कड़ नाटक और वालीबॉल करवाए गए, जिन्हें देख लोग रोमांचित हो गए। मुख्यमंत्री ने वालीबाल मैच भी खेला और युवा खिलाडिय़ों में जोश भी भरा। इस दौरान मुख्यमंत्री ने खेल जगत में बेहतर उपलब्धि हासिल करने वाले अंतरराष्ट्रीय जिम्नास्टिक खिलाड़ी योगेश्वर सिंह व अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय जूडो खिलाड़ी सुरेन्द्र सिंह को स्मृति चिन्ह भेंट कर उनका उत्साह बढ़ाया।
इस मौके पर परिवहन, महिला बाल विकास राज्य मंत्री असीम गोयल व जिला प्रशासन ने मुख्यमंत्री को स्मृति चिन्ह भेंट कर उनका यहां पहुंचने पर भव्य अभिनंदन भी किया। इसके साथ ही जिला रेडक्रॉस सोसायटी की ओर से मुख्यमंत्री नायब सिंह सैनी ने दिव्यांगजनों को मोटराइज्ड साइकिल व व्हीलचेयर वितरित की गई।
मुख्यमंत्री ने स्टाल पर बंधवाई राखी
राहगीरी कार्यक्रम के दौरान विभिन्न विभाग तथा संस्थाओं द्वारा स्टॉल लगाए गए थे, जिनका मुख्यमंत्री नायब सिंह सैनी ने अवलोकन किया और प्रदर्शित किए गए सामानों की सराहना की व कुछ सामान भी खरीदा। मुख्यमंत्री ने राखी भी बंधवाई। इस दौरान हरियाणवी, पंजाबी संस्कृति पर आधारित सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों की उम्दा प्रस्तुति रही, जिसका सभी ने आनंद उठाया।
इस मौके पर मंडलायुक्त गीता भारती, सीएम के ओएसडी एवं डीआईजी पुलिस विभाग पंकज नैन, अंबाला की मेयर श्रीमति शक्ति रानी, उपायुक्त डॉ0 शालीन, नगर निगम कमिश्नर संगीता तेतरवाल, पुलिस अधीक्षक सुरेन्द्र भौरिया, व एसडीएम दर्शन कुमार के साथ-साथ अन्य गणमान्य लोग मौजूद रहें।
