Haryana Minister of State for Transport, Sh. Aseem Goel, stated that a survey of the hilly area villages will be conducted. If the number of government buses needs to be increased in any such area, it will be ensured at the earliest.
The state government's objective is not to increase income by providing bus services but to prioritize providing safe transportation facilities to citizens on time.He said this while interacting with media today after meeting the school children who got injured in a bus accident in the Pinjore area of Panchkula district at the Civil Hospital in Panchkula.
Before this, the Transport Minister inquired about the well-being of the injured school children and other citizens admitted to the hospital and reassured them that the state government has directed doctors to provide the best possible treatment. He also met with the families of the injured and tried to understand the causes of the accident.
He informed that a five-member committee headed by Additional Director, State Transport, Sh. Pradeep Ahlawat has been constituted to investigate the incident. Considering the initial circumstances, orders have been given to suspend the government bus driver and conductor.
In response to the media questions, Sh. Goel said that directions have been given to Sh. Ashok Kaushik, General Manager of Roadways in Panchkula district, to start two bus trips on the route where the accident occurred from July 9, to avoid overloading due to the high number of passengers.
He mentioned that he had a phone conversation with Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh, who expressed regret over the accident and emphasized making proper arrangements for buses on the concerned route.Former MLA, Smt. Latika Sharma, Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Sh. Gaurav Chauhan, and CMO, Dr. Mukta Kumar were also present on this occasion.

हरियाणा के परिवहन तथा महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्री असीम गोयल ने कहा कि पहाड़ी क्षेत्र के गांवों का सर्वे करवाएंगे। अगर किसी क्षेत्र में सरकारी बसों की संख्या बढ़ानी पड़ी तो अवश्य बढ़ाई जाएगी , प्रदेश सरकार का उद्देश्य बस सेवा मुहैया करवा कर आमदनी बढ़ाना नही है बल्कि नागरिकों को समय पर सुरक्षित परिवहन सुविधा उपलब्ध करवाना प्राथमिकता है।
वे आज यहां पंचकुला जिला के पिंजौर क्षेत्र में बस सड़क दुर्घटना में घायल स्कूली बच्चों का पंचकुला के सिविल अस्पताल में हाल चाल पूछने के बाद मीडिया से बातचीत कर रहे थे। इससे पूर्व परिवहन मंत्री ने अस्पताल में भर्ती घायल स्कूली बच्चों और अन्य नागरिकों का कुशलक्षेम पूछा और उनको ढाढस बंधाया कि प्रदेश सरकार ने उनके बेहतरीन ईलाज के लिए डॉक्टरों को निर्देश दे दिए हैं। घायलों के परिजनों से भी मुलाकात की और दुर्घटना के कारणों को जानने का प्रयास किया।
उन्होंने बताया कि एक परिवहन अधिकारी श्री प्रदीप अहलावत की अध्यक्षता में पांच सदस्यीय कमेटी का गठन कर घटना की जांच के आदेश दे दिए हैं। प्रथम दृष्टया हालातों को देखते हुए सरकारी बस के ड्राईवर और कंडक्टर को सस्पेंड करने के आदेश दिए गए हैं। मीडिया के सवालों का जवाब देते हुए श्री असीम गोयल ने बताया कि आज जिस रूट पर बस दुर्घटना हुई है उस रूट के लिए कल 9 जुलाई से दो बसों का चक्कर शुरू करने के पंचकुला जिला के रोडवेज महाप्रबंधक अशोक कौशिक को निर्देश दे दिए हैं ताकि यात्रियों की अधिकता के कारण एक बस ओवरलोड न हो।
उन्होंने बताया कि उनकी मुख्यमंत्री श्री नायब सिंह से भी फोन पर बात हुई है जिस पर मुख्यमंत्री ने दुर्घटना को खेदजनक बताते हुए संबंधित रूट पर बसों को उचित प्रबंध करने की बात कही है।इस अवसर पर पूर्व विधायक लतिका शर्मा, एसडीएम गौरव चौहान, सीएमओ डॉ मुक्ता कुमार व भाजपा जिला अध्यक्ष श्री दीपक शर्मा भी उपस्थित थे।
