In a significant move set to transform healthcare accessibility in Haryana, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh has approved a landmark initiative that will provide free renal and liver transplantation services up to Rs. 3 lakh for eligible patients under the Mukhya Mantri Muft Ilaj Yojana (MMMIY).
In addition to this transformative step, the Chief Minister has also sanctioned the creation of a specialized fixed Renal and Liver Transplant Package of Rs 3 lakh under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana - Ayushman Bharat (PMJAY-AB) scheme.
While giving this information here today, Health, Medical Education, and Research Minister, Dr Kamal Gupta said that the current government is committed to healthcare reform and patient welfare. With this new initiative, identified patients will be able to receive critical renal and liver transplants at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) in Rohtak without worrying about the prohibitive costs.
These pivotal decisions aims to offer life-saving medical treatments to those in dire need, ensuring no one is denied essential healthcare due to financial constraints.He said that by alleviating the financial burden associated with complex medical procedures, the government is paving the way for a future where healthcare is a fundamental right accessible to all, regardless of economic status.
The Minister said that previously, there was no provision under MMMIY to cover the expenses related to renal or liver transplants. Many patients faced insurmountable barriers to receiving the treatments they desperately needed. The introduction of this facility, for the first time in a government healthcare institute, marks a significant stride towards bridging this gap and providing comprehensive care to the most vulnerable sections of society.

Dr. Gupta emphasized the State Government's unwavering commitment to enhancing healthcare services across Haryana. हरियाणा में स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं की पहुंच को बढ़ाने के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाते हुए मुख्यमंत्री श्री नायब सिंह ने एक ऐतिहासिक पहल को स्वीकृति प्रदान की है, जिसके तहत मुख्यमंत्री मुफ्त इलाज योजना (एमएमएमआईवाई) के तहत पात्र रोगियों को 3 लाख रुपये तक की मुफ्त किडनी और लिवर ट्रांसप्लांट सेवाएं प्रदान की जाएंगी। इस परिवर्तनकारी कदम के अलावा, मुख्यमंत्री ने प्रधानमंत्री जन आरोग्य योजना - आयुष्मान भारत (पीएमजेएवाई-एबी) योजना के तहत 3 लाख रुपये के विशेष फिक्स्ड किडनी और लिवर ट्रांसप्लांट पैकेज के निर्माण को भी मंजूरी दी है।
स्वास्थ्य, चिकित्सा शिक्षा और अनुसंधान मंत्री डॉ. कमल गुप्ता ने आज यहां यह जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि वर्तमान सरकार स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं में सुधार और रोगी कल्याण के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। इस नई पहल के साथ, चिन्हित मरीज़ पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ मेडिकल साइंसेज, रोहतक में बिना किसी खर्च की चिंता के गंभीर किडनी और लिवर प्रत्यारोपण करवा सकेंगे।
इन महत्वपूर्ण निर्णयों का उद्देश्य उन लोगों को जीवन रक्षक चिकित्सा उपचार प्रदान करना है, जिन्हें इसकी सख्त ज़रूरत है, ताकि यह सुनिश्चित किया जा सके कि वित्तीय बाधाओं के कारण किसी को भी आवश्यक स्वास्थ्य सेवा से वंचित न होना पड़े।उन्होंने कहा कि जटिल चिकित्सा प्रक्रियाओं से जुड़े वित्तीय बोझ को कम करके, प्रदेश सरकार एक ऐसे भविष्य का मार्ग प्रशस्त कर रही है, जहाँ स्वास्थ्य सेवा सभी के लिए एक मौलिक अधिकार होगी, चाहे उनकी आर्थिक स्थिति कुछ भी हो।
मंत्री ने कहा कि पहले, एमएमएमआईवाई के तहत किडनी या लिवर प्रत्यारोपण से संबंधित खर्चों को कवर करने का कोई प्रावधान नहीं था। जिसके कारण जरुरतमंद रोगियों को उपचार के लिए दुर्गम बाधाओं का सामना करना पड़ता था। पहली बार किसी सरकारी स्वास्थ्य सेवा संस्थान में इस सुविधा की शुरुआत होना इस अंतर को पाटने और समाज के सबसे कमज़ोर वर्गों को व्यापक देखभाल प्रदान करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है।
