To ensure smooth conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2024, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Samba, Abhishek Sharma today took a thorough review of the arrangements here at a meeting held in the Conference Hall, DC Office.
The DC reviewed the requisite arrangements made available at the 26 lodgement centers established in the district. He also reviewed the arrangements at the two RFID issuing counters set up at Chichi Mata and Nonath Ashram for Yatris.
Furthermore, he assessed the facilities for sanitation, security, electricity, water supply, bedding, health, drinking water, filling of potholes, traffic management and installation of generators to ensure the comfort of the Yatris.The meeting also discussed the display of digital screens, banners, and the installation of signboards at prominent places to facilitate the Yatris.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Champa Devi, Additional Deputy Commissioner Suresh Chander, Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary, SDMs of Vijaypur and Ghagwal, Executive Engineers from PDD, PHE & PWD, DIO, Tehsildars, and other district officers from various departments.
